We manufacture and intsall the 'GASRAP' modular system for the removal of H2S from biogas produced from anaerobic sludge digestion. We aslo design and manufacture purpose built Exhaust Gas Heat Recovery Modules for gas engines fuelled on biogas or natural gas. |
The high levels of H2S
contamination of sewage gas from sludge digesters is now of great concern. Severe and expensive damage has occurred at many sites to top end engine bearings, exhaust gas heat exchangers, even those manufactured from stainless steel and boiler back end tube plates.
Not only does the cost of repairs have to be borne, instead of selling power to the grid, expensive power has to be bought in. |

Capital and running costs for GASRAP are much cheaper than those for wet systems. A much more flexible system GASRAP only needs to function when H2S levels exceed the safe working maximum for your engine thereby prolonging the intervals between GASRAP recharging. In addition any number of GASRAP modules can be put in series if extremely high levels of H2S are common or in parallel if large volumes of sewage gas are to be cleaned of |

GASRAP module on farm location. The CHP unit on this farm uses BIOGAS made from farm bi-products. Here the biogas levels were reduced from 4000 ppm down to under 400ppm. |
